Our brains are constantly buzzing with electrical activity. These rhythmic fluctuations are called brain waves and play a vital role in everything we do, from thinking and feeling to sleeping and dreaming.
Brain waves are the result of synchronized electrical activity between groups of neurons (nerve cells) in the brain. These neurons communicate by sending electrical signals called action potentials. When a large group of neurons fire together in a rhythmic manner, it creates a measurable wave pattern on an electroencephalogram (EEG), a tool used to record brain activity.
Energy construction of a person
Every material body is created by a physical body and physical fields (electric, magnetic, biogravitational). The physical field is formed by the emission of frequencies from: the brain, the kidneys, the liver and other organs. These frequencies are different which makes the field non-uniform i.e. it has different colors.

The human being is built around the soul, possessing its own rational personality. The physical body is part of the total construction of man, relating in the third dimension.

The form of a person in conjunction with the unit of time prefigures the fourth dimension. In the fifth dimension the person interacts with subtle energies.

Brain waves
The electrical activity in our brain interacts our thoughts, emotions and bodily functions. These electrical patterns, known as brain waves, are the window to the dynamic workings of the human brain, They are determinants of our cognitive states and mental well-being, as every mental state and thought gives off brain waves.
Brainwave research reveals their potential to improve cognitive functioning and overall well-being. Neurofeedback, a technique that allows people to monitor and regulate their brainwave activity, has shown good results in treating various neurological and psychological conditions such as: anxiety, depression and attention disorders.
There are several types of brain waves, each associated with different mental states and activities. These brainwaves are categorized based on their frequency and amplitude, measured in Hertz (Hz), which indicates how many cycles per second the wave completes. The main types of brain waves are:
Delta waves
With the lowest frequency and highest amplitude, they are usually observed during deep sleep and states of unconsciousness. Their frequency range is from 0.1 to 3 Hz. They are associated with the restorative stages of sleep, body healing and rejuvenation.
Theta waves
Slightly faster in frequency related to creativity, intuition and meditative states. Moving further up the spectrum, theta waves have a frequency range of 4 to 7 Hz and are commonly associated with deep relaxation, dreaming and light sleep. These waves are associated with creativity, intuition and the subconscious mind. They are observed during meditation and hyppnagogic states.

Alpha waves
Indicative of a relaxed but alert mind, they often occur during light meditation and daydreaming. With a frequency range of 8 to 12 Hz, they are usually seen when the mind is in a relaxed but awake state. They are associated with a calm and focused mental state, often occurring during light meditation, relaxation and daydreaming.
Beta waves
Characterized by their higher frequency, dominate our consciousness during periods of active thinking, problem solving and decision making have a frequency range of 16 to 30 Hz and are associated with active, careful and analytical thinking.
Gamma waves
With peak frequencies ranging from 30 to 100 Hz or even higher, gamma waves are associated with increased perception, focus, learning, information processing, and peak cognitive performance.
Each type of brainwave plays a critical role in our cognitive and emotional functioning, and their balance is essential for maintaining overall mental well-being and optimal brain function.
Lateralization of the hemisphere
Brain waves can also differ between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. In general, the left hemisphere is associated with analytical thinking and language, while the right is associated with creativity and spatial thinking. Studies have shown that certain tasks can activate more alpha waves in the right hemisphere, while others can trigger more beta waves in the left. Brain wave patterns are unique to each person. What works for one person may not have the same effect on another. It's important to experiment carefully and find approaches that resonate with you.
